Mendoza Motorsport is a family racing team built from the ground up by Jose Mendoza, who shares the cockpit and the paddock with his children Avery and Kolbe. This isn't just a racing team — it's a family chasing the same dream together, corner by corner.
We field two Formula Vee race cars and compete in one of motorsport's most respected grassroots formulas. Formula Vee rewards car setup, driver skill, and racecraft above all else.
We're storytellers, ambassadors for the sport, and a platform for sponsors to connect with a passionate motorsport audience across multiple racing disciplines.

Jose Mendoza
Team Principal & Driver — Car #69
The man behind Mendoza Motorsport. Jose built this team from the ground up to share his passion for motorsport with his family. No stranger to speed — he's wheeled a Dodge Viper on the drag strip, a McLaren MP4-12C at Street Car Takeover, and now leads the charge in the #69 Formula Vee.
Avery Mendoza
Driver — Car #95
Avery is the rising star of Mendoza Motorsport and a force both on real tracks and virtual ones. Currently studying Mechanical Engineering at UGA and an active member of the UGA Motorsports Club, Avery drives the Formula SAE car and brings real engineering insight to the #95 setup. In 2024, Avery won a track day with Trophi.ai — beating over 20,000 entries — and was coached by former British racing driver Scott Mansell at Donnington Park. Avery is also a champion in iRacing's Formula Vee and M2 classes.
Kolbe Mendoza
Reserve Driver
A business graduate with a competitive edge, Kolbe brings sharp strategic thinking to the Mendoza Motorsport paddock. When he's not studying setups and staying race-ready as the team's reserve driver, Kolbe is an avid gamer — which means his reaction times are razor sharp and his racecraft instincts are always being sharpened. Kolbe's moment behind the wheel is coming.
Kyle Mendoza
Crew Chief & Team Mom
Behind every great racing team is someone holding it all together — and for Mendoza Motorsport, that someone is Kyle. As Crew Chief and Team Mom, Kyle is the backbone of the operation: organizing logistics, keeping the team fueled and focused, and making sure everything runs smoothly from the moment the trailer rolls out to the moment it rolls back in. Racing is a family affair — and Kyle is at the center of it all.

1995 Mysterian M2
The veteran of the fleet. Jose's #69 is a 1995 Mysterian M2 — one of the most respected Formula Vee chassis ever built. Prepared and maintained by Vallis Motor Sport in Ontario, Canada, this car carries the Mendoza orange and black livery and the full weight of the team's racing ambition every time it hits the grid.
1991 Agitator Type 2
Avery's #95 — the 1991 Agitator Type 2 — is the next generation's weapon. Older in chassis, fearless in spirit. Set up to match Avery's aggressive driving style and ready to prove that the Mendoza name belongs at the front of the Formula Vee grid in 2026.
